VOTE YES FOR AFFORDABILITYLimit Property Tax Mill Rate
This is a charter amendment that would limit the property tax mill rate to nine. This reduction would not affect funds needed for voter approved projects.No Sales Tax on Essentials. Few cities require sales tax on food, water, electricity, and fuel oil, but Juneau does. This initiative would extend the current tax exemption which seniors over 65 receive to all residents of Juneau.
